WMMR-FM’s ‘Camp Out for Hunger 2018’ Breaks Record

Beasley Media Group’s WMMR-FM Philadelphia collected a record 1.83 million pounds of food (913 tons) and nearly $200,000 in the 21st annual “Preston & Steve Camp Out for Hunger,” held November 26 – 30. The donations will provide over 2.2 million meals for people in need.

Morning Personalities Preston and Steve lived in Xfinity Live! Philadelphia parking lot all week to solicit donations. Event supporters included U.S. Senators Christopher Coons (DE), Larry Farnese (PA) and Bob Casey, Jr. (PA); Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney; Philadelphia Flyers players Claude Giroux, James Van Riemsdyk and Travis Konecny; and comedian Dana Gould.
