WBAL-FM, WBAL-AM and WBAL-TV Challenge Marylanders to Make Plunge to Support Special Olympic Oath

Hearst-owned WBAL-FM, WBAL-AM and WBAL-TV Baltimore, Md., recently joined forces to host the 15th Annual Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge at Sandy Point State Park. The event challenged participants to collect pledges from their families and friends for plunging into Sandy Pointís icy waters. The Plunge raised an estimated $3 million for Special Olympics Maryland. All event proceeds support intellectually challenged athletes who participate in the Special Olympics across the state.
