WAAF-FM Rises Up Against Hunger, Collecting $80,000 for New England Food Banks

Entercom’s WAAF-FM Boston hosted the "Rise Up Against Hunger" event in December. For three days, two WAAF-FM personalities "rose up" on lifts and lived on platforms suspended in the sky in an effort to raise funds for the Greater Boston, Worcester County and New Hampshire Food Banks. For more than two decades, the station’s personalities have enlisted themselves in physically challenging stunts to encourage listeners to support area food banks. This year’s event raised $80,255, enough to provide 189,401 meals to those in need.
