Media General’s NBC affiliate WJAR-TV Cranston, R.I., hosted two pre-taped debates for the leading candidates in Rhode Island’s gubernatorial race. The first, one-hour debate aired in primetime at 7 p.m. and featured the four Democratic candidates. The following night, WJAR-TV aired a half-hour debate between the two leading Republicans in the race.
