Hearst-owned NBC affiliate KCRA-TV Sacramento investigated the slow response time of Mather VA Hospital. Surveillance video shows a local veteran on the ground in pain outside of the emergency room. No one from the hospital came to help, even as his wife pounds on the door. Following the news segment, the hospital fixed the emergency call button and camera feed. (Watch video).
