Sacramento Station Changes Name For Dying Boy

Entercom’s KDND-FM Sacramento changed its name to “Sawyer FM” on February 18, in honor of a nine-year-old with terminal cancer. Sawyer loved listening to morning show hosts Gavin, Katie and Jason, but was too sick to visit. KDND played his favorite songs and aired personal messages from artists like Flow Rider. “If we could make him smile just for a little bit, it feels so so good,” Katie said.
