Quincy’s NBC affiliate KWWL Waterloo, IA shared this information on its community service activities in the first quarter of 2016. Among many examples, KWWL supported education by recognizing “Gold Star Teachers,” producing “READ” posters and visiting schools to meet with students. KWWL addressed bullying issues through its “Buddy Bench” contest. The station also donated hundreds of thousands of dollars in airtime by running PSAs on a variety of topics.
