Lenawee Broadcasting’s WLEN-FM Adrian, MI., hosted their 12th annual “Thank a Vet” day on November 10 to raise funds and awareness for veterans in need in Lenawee County. In just 12 hours, WLEN-FM raised over $32,000 for the “Veterans Dire Needs Fund.” The funds are distributed throughout the year to local veterans for assistance with rent, mortgage payments to avoid foreclosure, utility bills, rental facilities to store possessions when they are displaced, transportation stipends and for items like clothes needed for employment.
