Raycom Media’s Fox affiliate WXIX-TV Cincinnati raised $875,000 during the “St. Jude Research Hospital Dream Home” giveaway on June 8th. WXIX viewers could purchase a ticket to win a brand-new home. All proceeds went to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Families never pay for their child’s treatment at St. Jude and receive assistance with other expenses. WXIX ran a significant amount of on-air and social media promotion during two day-long “Sell-A-Thons” to encourage sales and tell the stories of children at St. Jude’s. In three years, WXIX has raised more than $2.5 million for St. Jude.
