Scripps-owned NBC-affiliate WPTV West Palm Beach, Fla., held its 35th annual “Bill Brooks’ Food for Families Food Drive” from October 14 - November 22 and yielded 177,160 pounds of food donations. The food donated will help families in need in the local area. WPTV also collected 3,000 toys during a drive held on December 13 to benefit the United Way of Palm Beach County.

“We are so proud of the outpouring of support from the community during the 35th annual WPTV Food for Families Food Drive and 4th Annual Toy Drive,” said General Manager Lloyd Bucher. “These initiatives are incredibly important to WPTV and our community, and the giving nature of our viewers makes a tremendous difference.”
