Graham Media Group’s NBC affiliate WDIV Detroit aired a town hall on August 13 to highlight community concerns and answer questions regarding returning to school as the pandemic continues locally and nationally. The town hall was moderated by journalists Devin Scillian and Paula Tutman and featured local school district officials, teachers, parents, current students and state Representative Pamela Hornberger, chairwoman for the House Education Committee. Viewers were encouraged to submit questions prior to the town hall.

WDIV has continued their coverage of the developing issue as schools reopen across the state. On August 31, the station aired a primetime special entitled “Education 4 All” and has provided robust daily coverage on air and on the WDIV website.
