“Stand Up for Ukraine” social media rally raised $10.1 billion in grants and loans to support those who had to flee their homes in Ukraine, according to the international education and advocacy group Global Citizen. iHeartMedia joined forces with Global Citizen urging listeners to take action and contribute to the global campaign.

iHeartRadio shared special calls to action and PSAs and used its platforms to amplify artists who posted content on their social channels in support of the April 9 event.

“Millions of Ukrainian families have been displaced from their country and are currently living in the cold without food and shelter. They need our help now”, said iHeartMedia President of Entertainment Enterprises John Sykes. “iHeart is asking all of our listeners, employees and personalities to join some of the world’s biggest musicians and entertainers to use their voices to advocate for the people of Ukraine and call on world leaders to mobilize urgent refugee relief and humanitarian aid as soon as possible."
