An investigation from Phoenix, Ariz., station ABC 15, owned by The E.W. Scripps Company, spoke to workers at an airport catering company who say failure to comply with the city’s heat ordinances is creating unsafe working conditions. Spot inspections noted vehicle temperatures in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. “I think that’s inhumane,” Phoenix City Councilmember Betty Guardado told the station.
