As children head back to school, local broadcasters are making sure they’re ready to succeed. Hearst Television’s WISN 12 in Milwaukee, Wis., raised $57,350 through the twelfth annual “Class Act School Supply Drive” to get supplies to children in need. “There’s no end to the generosity, kindness and compassion of our community,” said Shawn Oswald, president and general manager of WISN 12. “Through these donations, our viewers are ensuring kids are set up for success ahead of the new school year.”
